I found this so hilarious and sensational that I just had to seek out the source. Unfortunately, it turns out that this attribution to Reagan is false.

It would be funny if it were true. When I read the post I immediately opened up my copy of the Reagan diary just to make sure it was fake. Whoever circulated that quote on the internet should probably work for the New York Times.
